Fumie M. Yokoo of ‘Ele’ele, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Feb. 19, 2002, at the age of 91.
Born in Honolulu, O’ahu, on July 10, 1910, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by sons, Charles N. Yokoo of ‘El’eele, Kaua’i and Curtis Y. Yokoo of Japan; daughters, Jane S. Yokoo of Honolulu, O’ahu, Lois Y. (Hisashi) Hirata of Ewa Beach, O’ahu, Kay F. (Paul) Amor of Aiea, O’ahu, Molly M. (Dave) Flansburg of Montana, Nancy Y. Yokoo of Kaneohe, O’ahu, Joyce S. (Jerry) Casey of Missouri, Cora S. Yokoo of Kaneohe, O’ahu and Faith A. (John) Moniz of Kalaheo, Kaua’i; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; brothers, Koichi Mizuno of Honolulu, O’ahu, Yoshimitsu Mizuno of Honolulu, O’ahu and Raymond Mizuno of Kaneohe, O’ahu; sisters, Jane Miyamura of Honolulu, O’ahu and Yukie Yakuma of Aiea, O’ahu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service officiated by Rev. Kosho Itagaki will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Kaua’i Soto Zen Temple in Hanapepe. Casual attire is suggested.

Rose Souza Almeida of Lawa’i, Kaua’i, died at her residence, on Feb. 16, 2002, at the age of 79.
Born in Lawa’i, Kaua’i, on April 25, 1922, She was a retired housekeeper for the hotel industry.
She is survived by her four sons: Jerome “Baron” (Josephine) Almeida of Arizona, Dean Almeida of Wailua, Allan Almeida of Hilo, Zachary Almeida of Lawa’i; one daughter: Louise Almeida of Lawa’i; three sisters: Jane Souza of Oma’o, Bella Chandler of Lawa’i, Ethel Farias of Lawa’i, 5 grand children, 1 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Feb. 23, at St. Raphaels Catholic Church in Koloa, from 8 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Inurnment will be held private. Casual attire is suggested.

Frank Marchi
Frank Peter Marchi of Koloa, Kaua’i, died at Queens Hospital, on Feb. 17, 2002, at the age of 78.
Born in Oakland, California on May 29, 1923, he was a Proprietor of Paradise Seafood and Grill and Produce.
He is survived by his wife: Elaine Marchi of Koloa; one son: Paul (Aida) Marchi of California; one daughter: Claudette Hirano of Koloa; one sister: Ange Lateana of California and 4 grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, Feb. 23, at Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 9 a.m. Services to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Private scattering at a later date. Casual attire is suggested.
