Sybil Blackstad, Brenda Alayvilla and Renette Gaspar are among 12 First Hawaiian Bank employees on Kaua’i recently given awards for their performances during the first half of this year.
Blackstad, of the Koloa branch, was named one of the bank’s top customer service representatives on the island, along with Paula Valles of the island region, and Leane Aguinaldo-Medeiros of the Lihu’e branch.
Alayvilla, of the Kukui Grove branch, is one of six top tellers, joined by Cheryl Wong of the Kapa’a branch, Annie Horner of Lihu’e branch, Rachel Kishida and Ella Horita of the ‘Ele’ele branch, and Gladys Muraoka of the Koloa branch.
Gaspar, of the Princeville branch, was named the northeast area’s top personal banker. Joyce Vidinha of Lihu’e branch and the Kaua’i region, and Tom Canute, of the Koloa branch and southwest area, were also chosen as top personal bankers.
Recognition festivities for the winners were held recently at the Lihu’e branch, and included a lu’au dinner. Mike Murakoshi, senior vice president and Kaua’i region manager, said all of the island’s First Hawaiian Bank employees are winners.
