Mary Rapozo of Hanama’ulu, died at Wilcox Hospital on Oct. 7, 2002, at the age of 89. A homemaker, she was born on Jan. 30, 1913.
She is survived by her daughters: Dolores (David) Dias of Hanamaulu and Barbara Ching of Honolulu, son: Michael Rapozo of Hanama’ulu, sister: Dorothy (David) Texeira of Puhi, and brother: Bernard Akuna of Hilo.
There are 9 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Family and friends may call on Friday, Oct. 11, at Immaculate Conception Church from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., where Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by Fr. Paul Burial will follow at Kaua’i Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements by Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary.
Asako Fujii
Asako Fujii of Honolulu, and formerly of Anahola, Kaua’i, died Sept. 30, 2002, at Queen’s Medical Center at the age of 87.
Born Jan. 3, 1915, in Kealakekua-Kona, HI, she was a retired seamstress for O.K. Tailor Shop.
She is survived by sons, Stanley (Fumiko) Fujii of Honolulu, Alan (Joan) Fujii of Oregon and Stephen Fujii of Honolulu; daughters, Ethel (Herbert) Otaguro of Honolulu and Nancy Hodnefield of Anahola, Kauai; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Tomiko Ishikawa of Hiroshima, Japan.
Private services were held. Arrangements were handled by Hosoi Garden Mortuary.
Timmy Chow
Timmy Jay Ah Tai Chow of Lihu’e, Kauai, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Oct. 7, 2002 at the age of 38. Born in Lihu’e, Kauai on Jan. 22, 1964, he was a avid fisherman.
He is survived by wife, Debby of Lihu’e, Kauai; mother, Mildred Chow of Puhi, Kaua’i; two brothers, Richard (Maryann) Chow of Honolulu, O’ahu and Lloyd (Rosemary) Chow of Nawiliwili, Kaua’i; two sisters, Colleen (Frank) Nadarisay of Puhi, Kaua’i and Noelle (Ford Kimura) Chow of Waimea, Kaua’i; hanai brother, Kaleo Oana of Puhi, Kaua’i. There are numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 10 a.m. on Frid
ay, Oct. 11, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service officiated by Rev. Mithum Clemets will begin at noon, followed by burial at the Kauai Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
