Emma Brothers

Emma Brothers of Hanapepe, Kauai, died Oct. 8, 2002, at her home at the age of 97.

She was born on Nov. 4, 1904 in Menno, So. Dakota. Preceded in death by her husband, Ben Brothers, she was a homemaker in Idaho Falls, Id. for 66 years. She lived the remainder of her life with her family for Hawai’i.

She is survived by children Ruby Maas, Violet Wesner and Ben Brothers; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was an active Seventh Day Adventist Christian, who loved God and her fellowman. A memorial service will be held at the Lawai Valley Seventh Day Adventist church on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m.

Denis Lester Tsun Fo Lee

Denis Lester Tsun Fo Lee of ‘Ele’ele, Kaua’i, died at home on Oct. 2, 2002, at the age of 51.

Born in Honolulu, O’ahu on Jan. 5, 1951, he was a Electronic Technician with ITT at Pacific Missile Range Facility. He is survived by companion for 27 years, Pamela Taala of Hanapepe, Kaua’i; son, Kekoa of San Diego, Calif; daughter, Kara of Hanapepe, Kaua’i; brother, Brian of Honolulu; sister, Jackie Sato of Japan; two stepsons, Thoth Gasaway of Arizona and Sage Gasaway of Lawai, Kauai; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service has been scheduled at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Kauai Veterans Cemetery Pavilion; inurnment to follow. Casual attire is suggested.

Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.

Geraldine Fujiwara

Geraldine Fujiwara of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Oct. 3, 2002, at the age of 86.

Born in Lihue, Kauai, she is survived by sister, Fujie Sonoda of California, also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Private services were held. Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
