Marie Kalani of Hanamaulu, Kauai, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 18, 2002 at the age of 39.
Born in Lihue, Kauai, on Dec. 17, 1962, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband: Leonard Kalani of Hanamaulu; one son: Shannon Cummings of California; one daughter: Mikiala (Kekoa) Tecson, Sr., of Kapaa; two grandchildren: Kekoa & Kaimani Tecson; father: Wilbert Cummings, Sr. of Puhi; mother: Shirley Prem of Hanamaulu; grandmother: Marie Watson of Lihue; grandfather: James (Gloria) Prem, Sr. of Florida; four brothers: Wilbert (Lulu) Cummings, Jr. of Puhi; Darren Cummings of Kona; Kurt Cummings of Maui; Kalani Cumming of Lihue; one sister: Leiala Cummings of Lihue.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Prayer service at 7 p.m. Cremation to follow. Casual attire is suggested.

Roseline Garcia
Roseline Garcia of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 18, 2002 at the age of 87. Born in Hanama’ulu, Kauai on July 11, 1915, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Andrew (Barbara) Garcia of Koloa, Kauai, Stanford Garcia of Hanama’ulu, Kauai and Richard (Barbara) Ebinger of Wailua, Kauai; two daughters, Loretta Kupihea of Anahola, Kauai and Julie Garcia of Anahola, Kauai; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Dora (Jiggs) Cataluna of Hanamaulu, Kauai and Sally Garcia of Hanamaulu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo; service officiated by Father Keahi will begin at 10:30 a.m. Followed by burial at the Kealia Saint Catherine’s Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Victorino Villanueva, Sr.
Victorino Samoy Villanueva, Sr. of Waimea, Kauai, died at home on Nov. 18, 2002 at the age of 95.
Born in Laoag City, Philippines on Oct. 31, 1907, he was a Retired Barber.
He is survived by wife, Caridad; son, Victorino Jr. of Waimea, Kauai; daughter, Valerie of Waimea, Kauai; four brothers, Benedicto Villanueva, Eleuterio (Pacita) Villanueva, Ricardo (Isadora) Villanueva and Panteleon Quitola all of the Philippines; two sisters, Sebastiana Villanueva and Roberta Samoy both of the Philippines; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; Rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation also at noon on Sat., Nov. 23, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church; mass officiated by Father Keahi will begin at 2 p.m. Followed by burial at the Lihue Cemetery. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Helen Rodrigues
Helen Rodrigues of Lihue, Kauai, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 18, 2002 at the age of 78.
Born in Hanamaulu, Kauai, on Jan. 27, 1924, she was a cook.
She is survived by her husband: John Rodrigues of Lihue; one son: Patrick (Kim) Rodrigues of Washington; two daughters: Ginny (Wayne) Lee of Honolulu; Cynthia Rodrigues of Wailua; 5 grandsons.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Immaculate Conception Church from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. where mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. by Father Paul. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.

Bruce MacMulkin
Bruce Cuffe MacMulkin of Kaneohe, died on Nov. 17, 2002 at the age of 86.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 1, 1916, he was a retired chief harbor pilot at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; three daughters, Donna Baker of California, Jean Hall of Georgia, Judy Byfield of Kauai and 7 grandchildren.
Private services were held. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Mortuary.
