Vicente Tablizo
Vicente M. Tablizo of Hanamaulu, Kauai, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Nov. 15, 2002 at the age of 61.
Born in Alcala, Pangasinan, Philippines, on April 15, 1941, he was a Tractor Mower Operator with the County of Kauai at Wailua Golf Course.
He is survived by wife, Angelina E. Ramos-Tablizo; nine sons, Julius E. (Erlinda) Ramos of Hanamaulu, Kauai, Noel C. (Joanne) Tablizo; Edmund (Mary Grace) Tablizo, Rolando Tablizo, Arnold Tablizo, Ronald Tablizo, Roel Tablizo, Vicente Tablizo Jr. and Francis Tablizo all of Angeles City, Pampanga, PI; two daughters, Ana Liza (Rico) Pineda and Chona Tablizo of Angeles City Pampanga, PI.; two brothers, Onofre (Marciana) Tablizo of Bayambang, Philippines and Alfonso (Dorie) Tablizo of Alcala, Pangasinan, Philippines; two sisters, Veronica Sarmiento of Valenzuela, Metro Manila, Philippines and Justiniana (Federico) Alvaro of Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines; step-son, Christopher E. Ramos of Hanamaulu, Kauai; step-daughter, Jennifer E. Ramos of Hanamaulu, Kauai; 10 grandchildren; Uncle: Leo (Lucia) Tablizo of Oakland, CA. numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; mass officiated by Father Paul will begin at 10 a.m. Followed by burial at the Kauai Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.

Mamerto Tolentino Sr.
Mamerto Corpuz Tolentino, Sr. of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i, died at his home on Nov. 16, 2002, at the age of 77. Born Nov. 25, 1924, in the Philippines, he was an irrigator.
He is survived by his wife: Laurencia Tolentino of Hanama’ulu; 12 children: Cardenio (Evelyn) Tolentino, Lydia (Isidro) Bernardo, Dominador (Medina) Tolentino, Rosenida (Dominador) Tumamao, Narciso (Rosalina) Tolentino, Virginia (Carlos) Bernardo, Remi (Michael) Inouye, Linda (Resty) Bernardo, Mamerto (Rogelia) Tolentino, Jr., Danilo Tolentino, Juanito Tolentino, Francesca (Jean-Paul) Taylor, one brother: Tederico Tolentino; and one daughter-in-law: Leonida Bumanslac; 34 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit with the family on Friday, Nov. 22, at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, Nov. 23, at Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary Chapel from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.
Victorino Villanueva, Sr.
Victorino Samoy Villanueva, Sr. of Waimea, Kaua’i, died at home on Nov. 18, 2002 at the age of 95. Born in Laoag City, Philippines on Oct. 31, 1907, he was a retired barber.
He is survived by wife, Caridad; son, Victorino Jr. of Waimea, Kaua’i; daughter, Valerie of Waimea, Kaua’i; four brothers, Benedicto Villanueva, Eleuterio (Pacita) Villanueva, Ricardo (Isadora) Villanueva and Panteleon Quitola all of the Philippines; two sisters, Sebastiana Villanueva and Roberta Samoy both of the Philippines; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, 2002 at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation also at noon on Sat., Nov. 23, 2002 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church; mass officiated by Father Keahi will begin at 2 p.m. Followed by burial at the Lihue Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
