Acoustic roots and bluegrass musicians Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum will be returning to Kaua‘i and performing a concert on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Kaua’i Community College Performing Arts Center in Lihu‘e.
Last year was a near-sell-out performance, promoters said in a press release.
Partial concert proceeds will go to leaders of Save Our Seas, an environmental group whose members are committed to educate the next generation of ocean caretakers on Kaua‘i.
Save Our Seas is an organization dedicated to the awareness, protection, preservation and conservation of the global marine environment.
Lewis and Rozum are virtuoso masters on guitar, fiddle and mandolin, and they play an eclectic, exquisite blend of bluegrass and original acoustic roots music.
They have captivated audiences all over the world for over 20 years with their harmonies, fiddle riffs, and powerful original songs, according to the press release.
Lewis is a Grammy winner and singer, songwriter and champion fiddle player. Rozum is a world-class mandolinist, singer, composer, and guitarist.
From Berkeley, Calif., they tour, perform and record regularly with the likes of Linda Ronstadt, Maria Muldaur, Sam Bush, Alison Krause, Jerry Douglas, Tim O’Brien, and many others.

Opening the show are local musicians the Beat Keepers, including Michaelle Edwards, Steve Dubey and Mike Smith.
