Penny Miranda performed as well as a silver dollar on Sunday at the second Kaua‘i All-Girls Rodeo Association event at CJM Arena.
Miranda placed in the top four in five contests on her way to the all-around cowgirl distinction.
Marti Snyder, who placed in the top three in four events, ran away with the all-around reserve crown.
Although Snyder took home a bigger purse throughout the event, Miranda earned more points in each division for the top prize.
Miranda placed second in the 3D second division of barrel racing, first in steer undecorating, second in 3D first division pole bending, second in dally team roping, and fourth in breakaway roping.
In the meantime, Snyder took home top honors in the first division of 3D barrel racing, first in 3D pole bending (first division), first and third in dally team roping, and second in goat tying,
Other top finishers included Coralyn Murayama (second division 3D barrel racing, second division 3D pole bending), Tami Pu‘u (third division 3D barrel racing), Shan Mundon (third division 3D pole bending), Joyce Miranda (dally team roping), Kim Medeiros (goat tying), and Tami Yamamoto (breakaway roping).

The third KAGRA rodeo event of 2006 is scheduled for May 14 at CJM Arena in Po‘ipu.
