Richard E. Brun Sr.
Richard E. Brun Sr., of Kalaheo, died June 15, 2007, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 70.
Born on Kaua‘i, he was a golf course superintendent.
Preceded in death by his son Christopher J. Brun and brother Vernon Brun, he is survived by his wife Betty Brun, son Ricky (Paula) Brun; daughters Debbie (Sean) Pulawa and Peanut (Marshall) Aviguetero; brothers John Brun Jr., Herbert Brun and Francis Brun; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family Saturday, June 23, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo, where Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
Malaki Kanahele
Malaki Kanahele, of Kekaha, died June 19, 2007, at his home at the age of 79.
Born on Ni‘ihau on Aug. 19, 1927, he was a rancher.
He is survived by three daughters; Lama Kaohelaulii, Aka (Ike) Kanahele and Pupu (Ben) Duerte; three sons; Kaohu (Leka) Kanahele, Ku‘u Kanahele and Kalana (Ella) Kanahele; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services wil be Friday, June 22, at 3 p.m. at Kekaha Hawaiian Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
