The panel was not so lucky. David Bice came out on top with 9-4 and the rest followed. No one did worse than I did (7-6). How’s that?
What cracks me up is that Chargers won. I had such high expectations for them at the beginning of the season and they did nothing but disappoint me. So, I gave up on them. Star Charger running back LaDanian Tomlinson was the number one draft pick for me in my fantasy league and just traded him.
I said, “See ya later, no gain LaDan.”
How was I supposed to know that San Diego would blow out its competition Sunday? In my defense, Charger Michael Turner was the playmaker for the team, not Tomlinson.
Either way, the panelists and I got that game wrong. You know what that reminds me of? The Philadelphia Eagles and the Detroit Lions in Week 3. Remember when Donovan McNabb rebounded from a horrible Week 2 loss, only to come back and throw for 381 yards and four TDs. I felt bad for benching him afterwards. You just never know anymore.
But what I do know though, is that this is an important week for University of Hawai‘i football. They travel to San Jose where they’ll be scouted by BCS reps for the Fiesta Bowl. If they win, and win big, this could mean good things for Colt Brennan and the Warriors.
Keep your fingers crossed. And keep another set crossed for me and my N.Y. Giants on Monday night.
