Lois ann Larsen of Hanama‘ulu died Dec. 4, 2007, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 85.
Born Aug. 12, 1922, in New York, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Harry John Larsen; daughter Judy (Roger) Peckenpaugh; son Grant Gribble; granddaughter Heather (Adam) Phelps and grandson Matthew Dylan Peckenpaugh.
Friends may visit with the family at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 20, at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa, where Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. The family suggests casual attire and asks that flowers be omitted. Donations may be made to Kauai Humane Society 3-825 Kaumualii Hwy., Lihu‘e.
Anna Henrietta Palea
Anna Henrietta Palea, of Kekaha, died at Garden Isle Healthcare on Dec. 1, 2007, at the age of 90.
Born in Kekaha on May 14, 1917, she is survived by daughters Hildred Kamaka of Kekaha and Rhoda (Howard) Vinhasa of Ewa Beach, O‘ahu; 22 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother Eric Nordmeier of ‘Ele‘ele; sister Christine Chong of O‘ahu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. for viewing on Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service at 11 a.m. Interment services will be held in March 2008, time and place to be announced at a later date. Casual/aloha attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Emily R. Fernandez, of Kalaheo, died Dec. 6, 2007, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 74.
Born Dec. 23, 1932, in Hawai‘i, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by children Juliet Fernandez, Geraldine (Andy) Reuarin, Rosalie (James) Yamamoto, Joseph (Monique) Fernandez, William (Momi) Fernandez, Anna (Bobby) Rita, George (Chica) Fernandez, Jr., three brothers Frank (Lita) Rita, Joseph Rita, and Alfred (Bobbie) Rita; 28 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 1015 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa, where Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary.
