KAPA‘A — Waimea’s Erin Connelly scored in all four periods to lead the Menehune to a 33-17 showing over the Lihu‘e Kamikaze, Thursday night.
Travis Stine, John Berales, Kila Youn and Preston Keough continued to lead Kalepa Hillsiders, combining for 38 points in the Hillsiders’ 50-29 showing over Team Central Boys in the second of three contests.
Kalaheo got a game-high 15 points followed by Jeremy Robinson adding 11 points in Kalaheo’s 40-38 squeaker over Kapa‘a in the third game.
Kekoa Colipano and Kekoa Prem each finished with 11 points in the effort followed by Kaleo Cummings dropping in 5 points.
For Kalaheo, Clareson Torres, Braxton Garma, Keelan Sakuda and Devin Tavana each chipped in 4 points following Robinson’s showing.
Connelly topped all scorers with 10 points in the Waimea win. Joanna Andres came up with a trey and a charity pair in the final period to finish with 7 points. Lorrine Victorino and Bristi-Ann Agu each netted a 3-pointer en route to scoring 5 points. Kori Sakamoto’s tough play on the court yielded 4 points and Aiko Grande netted a three-point bomb in the third quarter.
Kamikaze guard Lauren James finished with 5 points, three coming in the final frame when Lihu‘e scored 9 points. That was more than the team’s total through the first three quarters.
Uila Langi and Lacey Lucas each finished with 4 points. Kira Taylan and Krystal Ijima each added pairs for the Kamikaze.
In the contest which followed, Stine finished with 11 points followed by Berales, Keough and Youn each netting 9 points. Willis Batol added 7 points and Aric Consino, opening the scoring with a drive up the middle, finished with 5 points in the Kalepa win.
Austin Simao and Silas Tacsiat paced the Team Central showing with 13 and 11 points, respectively. Lester Alacar and Cody Iwasaki pitched in with a pair each and a digit from Thomas Neimeier rounded out the effort.
