Lihu‘e Public Library hosts a Writer’s Workshop Series offering a unique writing topic class every quarter led by skilled Kauai writers. Workshops so far have included resume, biography, and poetry writing.
The next workshop, How to Write a Press Release, conducted by author, journalist, and public relations specialist Jan TenBruggencate, will be held on Thursday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Lihu‘e Library Conference Room. Admission to the workshop is free but space is limited. You may register for the workshop by signing up at the library’s circulation desk or by calling the library at 241-3222.
Words are a most powerful tool. Armed with a message and a keyboard a good writer can touch and transform readers. This week’s Book Buzz is a sampling of writing, communication, marketing and public relations resources available at your neighborhood library.
