Josh Herr is getting ready for his last race before track season, said Kaua‘i High School track coach Richard Matsumoto. Josh was preparing for the Old Koloa Sugar Mill Run, Saturday which is the same time as the Holy Cross craft fair (gotta go early for that sweet bread!).
Over at the soccer fields, coach Mark Brandeburg said the KIF boys will play Pearl City next weekend over three days and the KIF girls play Hilo this weekend starting Friday, the Kaua‘i girls playing Hilo before catching a plane and playing a game that night on O‘ahu.
And with soccer practice, the soccer parents are already coming out in force as Marlo Louis-Medeiros (she said didn’t have soccer when she was in high school) was taking care of Kawehi’s fees and coach Bobby Rapozo (she’ll be wearing purple at the football game) was chatting with Linda Okayama (is Dean going to the Old Koloa Sugar Mill Run?) in the parking lot.
OK, time to go see how Kapa‘a does against Pearl City in the HHSAA Div. II football quarterfinals.
