Wallace Uechi
Wallace Uechi passed away on January 24, 2013 at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home at the age of 77. He was born on March 7, 1955.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Uechi; two children, Bill (Lynzey) Uechi of Anaheim California; and Angela Uechi of Hanamaulu; two sisters, Elsie Uechi of Pearl City; and Ellen Miranda of Pearl City, Hawaii; brother, Tom (Diana) Uechi of Rowland Heights, California; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Catherine Pfeffer
Catherine Ham Young Pfeffer of Wainiha passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on April 27, 2013, at the age of 82. She was born in Wainiha on August 11, 1930, and was the proprietor of Black Pot Restaurant.
She is survived by her husband Gary “Bundy” Pfeffer of Wainiha; four sons, Rick (Denise) Ham Young of Wainiha; Warren (Susan) Ham Young of Princeville; Dadly “Bobo” Ham Young of Wainiha; Shaindlin (Kris) Ham Young of Wainiha; siblings, Annie (Thomas) Hashimoto of Kilauea; Henry (Erica) Tai Hook of Aiea; Florence Kaona of Kapaa; Wilbert (Lilly) Tai Hook of Kalihiwai; Eleanor Haumea of Wainiha; Travis “Momi” (Jerry) Tubal of Kahuku; Rhona (Togo) Hermosura of Kilauea; Kimberly Tai Hook of Kapaa; David “China” Haumea of Anahola; Miriam (William) Texeira of Alaska; Frances “Leina” Kaneakua of Kapaa; Flora Iseri of Kapaa; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Wai’oli Hui’ia Church in Hanalei with visitation from 8:00 a.m. and services beginning at 11:00 a.m. Paina to follow at Waipa.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Karen Chiemi Ramos of Hanapepe, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on April 24, 2013 at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 50. She was born in Waimea, Kauai on December 23, 1962. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by: husband, Erwin Ramos; sons, Beau (Dinorah) Ramos; Aaron (Keanna) Ramos; parents, Ernest and Judi Fujita; sisters, Wallis (Lawrence) Fernandes; Lisa (Elmer) Gubaton; brother, Guy (Judy) Fujita; six grandchildren; Numerous nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.

Stephan Stanzak of Kalaheo, Kauai, Hawaii passed away at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home on April 29, 2013 at the age of 87. He is born on March 19, 1926 in Syracuse, New York. He was a retired quality control inspector.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Concetta Salvatore Stanzak; sister, Julie Briggs.
He is survived by his daughters, Barbara (Kei) Shiba, Kalaheo, Kauai; Eva Lafferty, Waco, Texas; Carol (Adam) Sutkus, Davis, California; son, William (Sheri) Stanzak, Auburn, New York; 8 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews
Services will be held in New York.

Theodora ‘Leimomi’ Hee
Theodora “Tutu” Leimomi Hee of Kapaa passed away at Queens Hospital on April 26, 2013, at the age of 73. She was born in Waipio Valley, Hawaii (Big Island) on February 6, 1940, and was an active member of Hale o Na Ali’i o Hawaii.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Mary Solomon and daughter, Hiralene Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Hiram Hee Sr.; children, Henry Keawehawaii (Grace) Hee of Kauai, Winifred “Lei” (Kalani) Cotner of Virginia, Hiram “Mil” (Amy) Hee Jr. of California, Bernice “Kee-Lan” (David) Lambert of Arizona, Wesley Keawe Hee of Kauai, Kehaulani Hee of Kauai; son-in-law, Scott Johnson of Kauai; 19 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brother, Ronald Mia Ah Puck of California, numerous nieces, nephews and extended Ohana.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, May 13, 2013, at Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall with viewing from 8:30 and services celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. Aloha attire is suggested.

Lorenzo Mateo Lazo of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away on April 14, 2013 at the age 103. He was born on July 15, 1909 at San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. He was a Retired Janitor at Kuakini Medical Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Anacleta Domingo Lazo.
He is survived by sons, Felix (Nenita) Lazo; Rodrigo (Luz) Lazo; Julio (Rose) Lazo; Danilo (Lynda) Lazo; daughter, Josefa (Roger) Alejo; brother, Rosito Lazo; 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary (Oahu) from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. and service 6:30 p.m. Burial on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Valley of The Temples Memorial Park (Oahu).
