LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i High School tennis teams took the Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation first round titles with 4-1 wins in both boys and girls competition against Kapa‘a on Saturday at the new Kaua‘i High School tennis courts.
Island School swept its series over Waimea High School with 5-0 wins in both boys and girls competition at matches played at the Po‘ipu Kai tennis courts, the designated Voyager home courts.
“After clinching the first round of the season for both the Boys and the Girls, Kaua‘i High is off to a strong start in the next round,” said Kaua‘i High School coach Jennifer Hreljac.
“The next match is Senior Day on Saturday at the Kaua‘i High School courts against Island School. The Red Raiders have nine graduating seniors, including Savannah Hubbard, Maddison Hubbard, Jeanine Longboy, Kayla Fernandez, Aubrey Bechard, Dillon Fulks, Isaac Mirey, Rasil Manandhar and Kekai Calderon. We wish them luck for their futures.”
