LIHU‘E — A number of road-related projects are on tap with work stretching from the South Shore to the North Shore, the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation said in an update on Friday.
The following is a list of projects for the workweek ending March 8. All work is weather permitting.
Anahola
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for grass cutting, between mile post 16 to 18, on Monday, March 4, through Friday, March. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
‘Ele‘ele
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for shoulder grading between mile post 15 to 17, in the vicinity of Lele Road, on Monday, March 4, through Friday, March 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in the westbound direction for sewer line crossing between Halewili Road and Hanapepe Road, on Monday, March 4, through Friday, March 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Kalaheo
A single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for storm drain installation and paving, between mile post 10.7 and 11, in the vicinity of Kuli Road and Lauoho Road, through Friday, March. 8, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for grass cutting, between mile post 12 and 15, in the vicinity of Halewili Road and Laulea Street, on Monday, March 4, through Friday, March 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Kealia
Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for cold planing and paving, between Mailihuna Road and Aliomanu Road, through Friday, March 8, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Kilauea
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) is possible in either direction for installation of traffic counting loops between Ko‘olau Road and the Princeville Airport, nightly from Wednesday, March 6, through Friday, March. 8, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) is possible in either direction for tree trimming between Ko‘olau Road and the Princeville Airport, from Monday, March 4, through Friday, March 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Lihu‘e
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible in either direction for cold planing and paving, between mile post 0.7 and 2.5, in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway, through Friday, March 8, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for cold planing and paving.
Princeville
A single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) is possible in either direction for debris removal and hauling of slope material between Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, from Monday, March 4, through Friday, March 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Traffic will be alternated through the open lane.
Puhi
A single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible in either direction for excavation of existing asphalt, installation of base material and pouring of concrete, between Anonui Street and Kipu Road, through Friday, March. 8, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Wailua
A right lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) is possible for grass cutting in either direction between mile post 0 and 6, in the vicinity of Kuhio Highway, on Monday, March 4, through Friday, March 8, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
A single lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) is possible until further notice for slope stabilization work in the vicinity of the Opaeka‘a Falls lookout, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
