LIHU‘E — A number of projects are scheduled along local roads over the next few days, including some bridge maintenance work in Wailua, the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation said in a weekly update.
The following is a list of projects for the workweek ending Dec. 15. All work is weather permitting.
Kealia
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible for grass cutting in either direction, between mile post 10 and 11, in the vicinity of Kealia Beach Park, on Monday, Dec. 11, through Friday, Dec. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Lihu‘e
A single lane shift on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible for sidewalk installation in the northbound direction between mile post 0.7 and 2.5, in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway, beginning Monday, Dec. 11, through Friday, Dec. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Princeville
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) is possible for debris removal and hauling of slope material in the eastbound direction between Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, on Monday, Dec. 11, through Friday, Dec. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Traffic will be alternating through the open lane.
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) is possible for grass cutting in either direction, between mile post 0 and 10, in the vicinity of Kee Beach, on Monday, Dec. 11, through Friday, Dec. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Puhi
A right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) is possible for guardrail grass trimming in either direction in the vicinity of Kaua‘i Community College and Koloa Road, on Monday, Dec. 11, through Friday, Dec. 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Wailua
A right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in the northbound direction between mile post 5.71 and 5.9, in the vicinity of Kuamo‘o Road, on Monday, Dec. 11, through Friday, Dec. 15, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for bridge maintenance.
