Mr. Rita (he plans on getting tickets to the Hanapepe Stadium game, too), who was in attendance at the University of Hawai‘i football win in Nevada, said UH Coach Timmy Chang as a connection to Kaua‘i since Timmy’s mother is an Almadova (of the Uncle Louie fame) girl.
Scott Lever of Hi Employment just finished setting up for the two-day, one stop employment run where people stopping and registering for work get connected to all of the Kukui Grove tenants looking for workers without the hassle of visiting each prospective employer. The pop-up ends Saturday following its 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. run (Sheila Bradley and Paper Pie books and Kumu’s Cupboard opens Saturday from 2 p.m., enough time to enjoy the Veterans Day ceremonies that start at the Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery at 11 a.m.
And, don’t forget the Downtown Lihu‘e Night Market (this is the second Saturday of November!) that starts at 4 p.m. with the Bikes on Rice and the overflow at Rob’s Good Times Grill.
