Panzirer installed two free book library boxes and painted a colorful mural at a Kalaheo Missionary Church playground for her Eagle Scout project. The daughter of Tina and Walter Panzirer of Koloa and Las Vegas, she was homeschooled and is currently a freshman majoring in elementary education at UH Manoa.

Kaua‘i Special Olympics athlete Kyle Moniz (he’s also part of the Kaua‘i Football Officials crew!) helps collect donations on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, when the “Badges and Buckets” fundraiser launched at Walmart store in Lihu‘e. The drive continues until 1 p.m. on Saturday.

The winds on Wednesday night blow open a hole in the medium-level clouds to allow a portal to The Milky Way in Lihu‘e. According to photographer Jock Goodman, the window for viewing The Milky Way is getting ready to close for this year.

Happy keiki romp around with Showtime Characters’ Stitch during Toddler Tuesday, which is held on the first and third Tuesday at Kukui Grove Center starting at 11 a.m.

Kaua‘i High School, in partnership with Kukui Grove Center, will present Disney’s “High School Musical” during the Kaua‘i High School free Homecoming Movie Night on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Kukui Grove Center. The event, which offers food for purchase, entertainment, local vendors, and games, is presented by the Kaua‘i High School Student Council and numerous student clubs. There is no admission charge to enjoy the activity offerings that will end with the airing of Disney’s “High School Musical.”
