Bridget Arume, of Kaua‘i’s Families First, said their ‘Ohana Fishing Days is back, with the first fishing day taking place on June 3 at Nawiliwili (it’s the opposite site from where the NYC hosts its tourney). And, you need to know early because the second ‘Ohana Fishing Day takes place on June 10 (it’s the same day as the King’s (Kamehameha) Celebration.

And, if you’re a teacher, make sure you capitalize on the McDonald’s offer of a free hot or iced coffee with two chocolate chip cookies this week only, in celebration of National Teacher Appreciation Day. Yes, and you do need your ID to get the coffee that’s available either through the app or at the counter.
Jamba Juice has a freebie, too, and so does Jack In the Box, but you gotta go check in-person to find out what they’re doing for teachers.
These are the final few days of Kukui Grove Mother’s Day campaign, where shoppers get a food card from any of the shopping center’s restaurants after a certain amount of spending (you can collect all the receipts — nonfood only). Check the Kukui Grove website for details. The deadline is May 12 (yikes, that’s Kaua‘i Community College’s commencement!).
