LIHU‘E — Dancers from Garden Island Dance will take to the county’s stage at the St. Catherine School Carnival on Saturday at 6:15 p.m. The carnival runs Friday and Saturday on the school and church campus on Kawaihau Road in Kapa‘a.

Among the numbers planned are contemporary and lyrical dancess, with original choreography set to the music of Kaua‘i violinist Kimberly Hope.
Students from ages 3 to teens will perform a flamenco number in celebration of Cinco de Mayo, as well as selections from “Sleeping Beauty,” “Carnival of the Animals” and “Swan Lake.”
