Good. Incentive to stay in school and do something else. That is the idea. IF you go else where in the state, they all want to go college and play ball. Football or baseball. They skip their spring semester year to turn college ball. In surfing, they skip their junior and senior year to turn pro at Pipeline Masters. Only after surfing at Hanalei. Surprised? I’m not. So this is good incentive for students to stay in school. Hey? Free lunches.
One more thing, if they are going with taxes to pay for this, they’ll need to seek for federal aid just to sponsor a program as this. Do they really want to spend it on kids? That would be the question on taxing people. Having the public agree that their money is going to the kids and free lunches.
