Iranda ‘Randy’ Leilehua Gonsalves
Iranda “Randy” Leilehua Gonsalves, of Kapa‘a, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 23, 2022, at the age of 73. Born in Honolulu, O‘ahu on Nov. 23, 1949, she was a sales clerk at Garden Isle Clothing Co. in the Coconut Plantation Marketplace. Throughout most of her adult life, Randy’s joyous moments were being married to the love of her life, the late Joseph Gonsalves Jr., and being a wonderful mother to her children and grandchildren.
Randy was preceded in death by her parents Serafin Palomares Jr. and Cecelio and Violet Fernandez, brother Serafin Palomares III, and stepdaughters Helen Smith and Adeline Coltes.
She is survived by her five daughters Shawnelle “Ku‘ulei” Palomares, Leimomi (James “Ainoa”) Burgess, Noelani Palomares, Sadie Gonsalves and JeriMay Gonsalves, along with grandchildren Iverson and Hunter Corpuz, Brittney Abalos, Christy and Hailey Daligdig, Mahina and Taylor Melandish, Nanea and Albert Bactad Jr., Micah Lovell-Gonsalves, Brenden, Aleajah, and Taytra Naumu, Kalani and Wikoli Henderson, Aurora Silva and Kyrus and Lucas Gonsalves, stepsons Joseph (Lynn) Gonsalves III, John (Davelynn) Gonsalves, and Wayne (Lynn) Gonsalves, brother Matthew “Puanani” Afong, sisters Avon Palomares, Kimlynn (Daniel) Preza, Melodee (Michael) Lingaton and Kimmie Castillo, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous extended ohana.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Jan. 6, 2023, at Kaua‘i Veterans Center. Visitation with family at 4:30 p.m., service at 5:30 p.m., and fellowship to follow. Casual attire and flowers omitted.
Richard Camara
Richard Camara, 95, originally from Port Allen, Kaua‘i, passed away on Dec. 6, 2022. He was born on June 2, 1927, in ‘Ele‘ele, and resided for many years in Kalaheo. He was a HVAC technician and a veteran of WWII.
He was preceded in death by wife Elizabeth Camara, son Richard M. Camara Jr. and parents John and Mary Camara.
He is survived by daughters Deborah Camara, Sandra Camara, Cindy O’Connor and Mary (Christopher) Hare, son Jim (Anita) Camara, 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held at Colonial Funeral Home in McHenry, Illinois.
Alice M. Victorino
Alice M. Victorino, 96, passed away on Dec. 23, 2022, at her home in Kapa‘a.
She was born in Kapa‘a on June 13, 1926, and worked on Kaua‘i as a pineapple processor for Hawaiian Cannery.
She was preceded in passing by husband Robert Victorino, son Bruce Victorino, parents Motokichi and Tomeyo Maeno and eight siblings.
She is survived by daughters Joyce Hada and Sharleen (Peter) Soule, and grandchildren Derick Hada, Dana (Shari) Hada and Bonnie and Jeremy Soule.
Private services will be held by the family. The family requests no koden (monetary gifts). The family would appreciate any donations made to Kaua‘i Hospice in the name of Alice Victorino.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Darin C. Rita
Darin C. Rita passed away on Dec. 5, 2022, at Wilcox Medical Center at the age of 53. He was born on Oct. 20, 1969, in Waimea. He was a self-proprietor for refuse collection.
He was preceded in death by father William C. Rita and brother Eric William Rita.
He is survived by son Todd Alapa‘i-Rita, daughter Samantha Rita, mother Anna Rita, brothers David W. (Leslie) Rita of Kalaheo, Gordon S. Rita of Kalaheo and Brian C. (Wantana) Rita of Kalaheo, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service is Saturday, Jan. 14, at the Garden Island Mortuary. Visitation is from 9 to 10 a.m. and services at 10 a.m. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Ricardo E. Navor Sr.
Ricardo E. Navor Sr., 83, of Lihu‘e, passed away on Dec. 10, 2022, in Lihu‘e. He was born on March 14, 1939, in the Philippines. He was a sugar crane operator at Lihu‘e Plantation.
He was preceded in death by parents Agapito Navor and Celerina Navor, grandson BJ Navor Gaitos, brother Juanito (Anacleta) Navor, sisters Adelina (Mariano) Negrillo, Paulina (Cresencio) Bumatay, Darlene Navor and stepmom Rachel Navor.
He is survived by wife Adelina P.
