Charity walk raises, distributes nearly $500,000

Leaders of the Kaua‘i Visitor Industry Charity Walk present the leading nonprofit fundraisers for the 2022 event that was held in August starting and ending at the Vidinha Stadium athletic fields and raised more than $450,000.

Representatives of beneficiary local nonprofit organizations and officials of the Kaua‘i Visitor Industry Charity Walk that includes the Hawai‘i Lodging & Tourism Association Kaua‘i chapter, celebrate the $457,054.30 raised during the Charity Walk that was held in August at the Vidinha Stadium north soccer fields, on Wednesday at the Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i Resort & Spa in Po‘ipu.

PO‘IPU — The appearance of Kelly Simek of the “Living 808” team, and her videographer from KHON2 on Wednesday was a hint there was excitement at the walk allocation breakfast where proceeds from the 2022 Kaua‘i Visitor Industry Charity Walk were distributed, at the Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i Resort &Spa.
