As she was traveling along, Kaua‘i Police Department officers are seeking the public’s help in identifying and contacting her family. Anyone with information is asked to contact KPD dispatch at 808-241-1711.
First responders and bystanders rescued Gran last Thursday as a call for emergency personnel was received around 4:15 p.m.
According to the preliminary report, Kaua‘i Fire Department firefighters with the Kaiakea station arrived on the scene and discovered two KFD Ocean Safety Bureau lifeguards and an off-duty firefighter performing CPR on the snorkeler. Earlier, bystanders pulled her from the water when she appeared unresponsive.
American Medical Response medics continued advanced life support while transporting the woman to Wilcox Medical Center for further treatment.
