McCandless sets new course record at The Kaua‘i Marathon

Dolores Valencia of California is among the group crossing the finish arch, Sunday during the 13th running of The Kaua‘i Marathon on the south shore. Valencia, running the full 26.2-mile marathon, was the 11th overall finisher, and the third female finisher with her 3:27:43 effort.

PO‘IPU — The Kaua‘i Marathon champion Tyler McCandless of Colorado set a new course record in the 13.1-mile half marathon, Sunday when The Kaua‘i Marathon presented the 13th running of the marathon and half marathon on Kaua‘i’s south shore.
