LIHU‘E — Would you donate $50 for a 43-inch wide-screen television set?
Everyone is encouraged to take advantage of this value package through a special radio campaign being hosted by FM94.3 until the supply runs out.
“We have one hundred of these pre-owned 43-inch LG Flatscreen that come with a remote control, a blue ray disc player, and the display stand,” said David Lister of FM94.3. “The Salvation Army advisory board member Bart Thomas was able to get his hands on the tv packages. We thought a donation to The Salvation Army was a worthwhile contribution for all of the work being done by both the Lihu‘e and Hanapepe Corps.”
People interested in getting the television sets simply listen to Tricia Allen’s Afternoon Drive Show, Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Tricia will give people a phone number to call where they will be registered for the television set pickup details from The Salvation Army, Lihu‘e Corps Thrift Shop located on Hardy Street across the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall.
Lister said because the value of the television package is greater than the amount being donated, contributions are not tax deductible.
Proceeds from this Salvation Army TV Radiothon will benefit the Salvation Army’s Lihu‘e Youth Program.
“We’re picking up the television sets, Wednesday with support from the Kaua‘i Veterans Center,” Lister said. “This promotion is available until the 100 packages are gone.”
