Sandra Leiko Sato
Sandra Leiko Sato passed away on June 27, 2022, at Hilo Medical Center, at the age of 64. She was born on July 25, 1957. She worked in the office at Suisan for 40 years.
She was preceded in death by parents George and Violet Sato.
She is survived by sister Arlene Sato of O‘ahu, brother Clifton and Joyce Sato, niece Elysse and Jasen Doi, grandniece Camie and nephew Jordan (Kailee Carrillo) Sato.
Services were held.
Dodo Mortuar, Inc. &Crematory in Hilo assisted the family with arrangements.
Rosemarie Ubongan
Rosemarie Ubongan, 80, of Kapa‘a, passed away peacefully at her home with her husband and three daughters by her side, on Aug. 2, 2022. She was born on Sept. 23, 1941 in Lihu‘e. She was best known for owning and operating Dorrik’s Super Service with her husband Dorrik.
She was preceded in passing by parents Harry (Thelma) Victorino and brother David Victorino Sr.
She is survived by her loving husband Dorrik Ubongan, daughters Dorrian (Buddy) Lizama, Dorrine (John) Fornfeist and Dorrilyn (Kenderson Caspillo) Ubongan, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be announced at a later date.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens &Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Emilio Guerrero Igne
Emilio Guerrero Igne passed away on Aug. 1, 2022, in Kaumakani, at the age of 93. He was born on May 22, 1929 in Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Philippines.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and National Guard Reserve, and retired as a crew chief in research development from Olokele Sugar Company.
He was preceded in death by parents Narcisa and Luciano Igne, brothers Alfredo Igne and Rosalino “Sal” Igne, sister Josephine Igne Garcia and grandson Taylor Ramos.
He is survived by wife Marina Caberto Igne, sons James (Christine) Igne, Michael (Cindy Marie) Igne, Sean (Chlorie) Igne, daughter Joniann (Allan) Ramos, 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, brothers Elpidio “Kugh” Igne and Juanito John “Tuk” Igne and sister Fely Igne Faulkner.
A service is Friday, Aug. at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery at 1 p.m. The family suggests casual attire and requests that flowers be omitted.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lola M. Bukoski
Lola M. Bukoski, 78, of Koloa, passed away on July 28, 2022 at Wilcox Medical Center. She was born on Sept. 26, 1943, in Lihu‘e. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by parents Michael and Lillian Iida and husband Samuel K. Bukoski.
She is survived by daughters Weena (Royden) Kusaka and Tammy (Jack) Nishimoto, sons Elton “E.J.” Bukoski, Sam Bukoski and Kika Bukoski, brother Steven (Nicky) Iida, sister Cheryl Sasaki and six grandchildren.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Leonora B. Aquino
Leonora B. Aquino, 96, of Hanama‘ulu, passed away on July 25, 2022, at her residence. She was born on July 1, 1926, in Ilocos Norte, Philippines.
She was retired from Taco Bell restaurant in Lihu‘e.
She was preceded in death by parents Simon and Tiburcia Aquino, brothers Jaime, Alfredo, Alfonso and Antonio, sisters Primativa Aquino, Lourdes Balmores, Carolina Aquino-Mendoza and Victoria Aquino de Luna, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life is at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary on Friday, Aug. 12, with visitation at 9 a.m. followed by service at 10 a.m.
