Shawn Keoho of the Lihu‘e Corps and Bart Thomas of The Salvation Army Advisory Board Wednesday when Gonzalez touched down from Los Angeles to take command of the Hanapepe Corps. “We’re ready to move ahead,” Keoho said. “We just want people to see him so they know who is pushing the programs.”

Anika Evanoff of Island School, and Toni Jordyn Umalla of Kapa‘a High School are summer interns at the Wilcox Health. Evanoff is working with Philantropy and Umalla is with Marketing when Casera Silva presented her Kickin’ Corona benefits to Wilcox.

Arleen Yoshimori was thrilled to be working at the Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce luncheon with Southwest Airlines CEO Bob Jordan (how did Janice Bond know she needed a maile lei for him?) because not only she was happy to be hired by the Royal Sonesta Kaua‘i Resort, her son’s boss is Southwest Airlines’ Brad Hawkins. Fellow server Gloria West said she became a grandma during the COVID-19…thank you, Paul Toner and the Royal Sonesta HR department for keeping these ladies happy to be working!
