LIHU‘E — Due to employee training, the general phone line for the county Department of Public Works Solid Waste and Recycling divisions will not be available today, and the Kaua‘i Resource Center is closed. Refuse and recycling services will not be impacted, including the Lihu‘e Redemption Center operated by Reynolds Recycling. However, composting bins, fluorescent light bulb drop-off and reuse drop-off at the KRC are not available today.
