Project Hokulani, a University of Hawai‘i at Manoa program, is recruiting Native Hawaiian and Hawai‘i students going into ninth, 10th, 11th and 12th grades on Hawai‘i Island, Molokai, Lana‘i, O‘ahu and Kaua‘i, for a free, STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) skill-building and college-preparatory program.
Project Hokulani, a University of Hawai‘i at Manoa program, is recruiting Native Hawaiian and Hawai‘i students going into ninth, 10th, 11th and 12th grades on Hawai‘i Island, Molokai, Lana‘i, O‘ahu and Kaua‘i, for a free, STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) skill-building and college-preparatory program.
The program will guide students and their parents to an understanding of the college-application process and find funding to pay for college.
Participants engage in hands-on activities and are offered a paid summer internship.
Fall and spring sessions are at local college campuses, and summer internships will be at local STEM organizations.
Applications are due Friday, June 17 for the fall program. Space is limited.
