Happy birthday, Diane Ebinger, third from left, who spends lunch with husband Keith, granddaughter Carlee Dusenberry, and daughter Nicole Ebinger (missing are shy brother and sister) Friday at the Kukui Grove food court.

There were a lot of numbers swirling around the Kukui Grove Food Court before everyone settled on “21” — Happy Birthday, Diane Ebinger who spent her special day lunching with her family Friday, where Ronnie Matsumura and Ernie Domingo of the Kaua‘i Senior Softball league (Ernie said the new season starts in January, right after Christmas) had former Kaua‘i Chief Ale Lumosod (he had a special game ring for 15 years from a mainland tournament), and who was that gentlemen who rushed over when someone dropped his walking cane…low key aloha.
