Johnny Gordines, past president of the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau, couldn’t make the farmers’ market Saturday because he was among the helpers distributing pumpkins for keiki at the Kekaha Neighborhood Center.

Autumn (that’s the name she allowed the newspaper to print), who just got here from Oregon, came out to complete the National Federation of the Blind sign-waving for White Cane Day Friday in front of Kuhio Medical Center on Kuhio Highway in Lihu‘e.
