LIHU‘E — The county Department of Finance Motor Vehicle Registration and Drivers Licensing divisions will close at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 5, to accommodate staff training.
The last customers of the divisions will be called to the windows for service at 2:36 p.m. on Tuesday.
Normal hours will resume on Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 8 a.m., for kupuna hour.
Normal hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. weekdays except county holidays.
Appointment-holders may check-in for scheduled appointments up to 15 minutes prior to appointment times. Anyone over five minutes late will have their appointment canceled and be considered a walk-in customer.
Kupuna hour is available for those 65 years or older from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. weekdays, with no appointments necessary.
