Happy birthday to Paul Curtis who got to celebrate his birthday with a day off work!
Happy birthday to Paul Curtis who got to celebrate his birthday with a day off work!
Happy birthday, too, to Terryjosiah Sharpe of Colorado whose significant other Kristen (she’s got relatives in Kekaha!) surprised him (and a lot of other pleased shoppers) on Wednesday with an impromptu hula rendering to the music of John Rivera and Friends at the Pop-Up Farmers Market at The Shops at Kukui‘ula.
Congratulations to Bill Schilling, co-president of the Rotary Club of Hanalei Bay, and all (Janice Bond even drove all the way in from Lihu‘e!) the community partners (Stuart Cain and Richard Texeira are among the new generation of North Shore Lions!) in turning ground for the Kaua‘i Kupuna Park that will have China Li Price’s grandma inspired FitLot!
Congratulations to Erikka Gray, a teacher at Waimea High School, on earning one of two Turkish Towels given away on the final day of the scratch cards benefiting the Charity Walk on Wednesday. Professional car parker and people rescuer Aaron Swanson got the other towel that Pillare Mukai said was worth a lot more than the donation for the card.
Santa (aka Phil Worwa still does golf at Kukuiolono Park on Thursdays and Sundays at 4 p.m.) wanted a new car, but had to settle for a Deja Vu Surf Hawai‘i discount card at the Palm Court ticket distribution area where Emma Chiba-Miguel (she’s Stacie’s daughter) ended her stint as the Top Ticket Distributor when a friend showed up.
