You’re right. It’s all about the money. And the distribution of the money is about “popularity”. Which is precisely why we now live in a world of sequentially failed government policies. One after another. Everyone knows that our elections are just popularity contests.
Unfortunately, voters don’t realize that this results in unqualified elected officials, who then try to hire more qualified individuals to help them do their jobs. But, they’re not even aware of what the qualifications are.
Results: incompetence appointing more incompetence resulting in failed policies affecting the taxpayers.
Vote for “Qualified” candidates. Not just “your friend”.
Notice how most campaigns are now run on slandering the opponents rather than proving THEIR own qualifications.
Even the TV commercials are doing that now.
Yes, and why would someone (Hooser) leave the influential position as State Senate Majority Leader to run for Lieutenant Governor? Especially when he had little or no chance of success…
