KAPA‘A — The Kaua‘i Fire Department responded to a small structure fire Sunday afternoon that ignited in a Kapa‘a warehouse.
No injuries were reported.
At approximately 3:15 p.m., firefighters from the Kapa‘a, Kaiakea, and Lihu‘e fire stations, along with the on-duty Battalion Chief, were dispatched to a building on Kuhio Highway in Kapa‘a, where heavy black smoke was reported.
Upon arrival, a bystander was seen exiting the warehouse with a fire extinguisher in hand, attempting to stop the fire from spreading. No other occupants were in the unit.
Responders brought the flames under control and quickly extinguished the fire. Fire inspectors estimate damages to the structure and its contents to be roughly $25,000. The cause of the fire appears to be accidental.
Is this politically related? Destroying all the files. So that there is no proof of anything done or signed. Kapa’a is a bigger town than most towns on Kauai. If this is so, you should look in to it.
