Richard Mitchell Kuhlman
Richard Mitchell Kuhlman passed away on June 1, 2021, at the age of 86, in Lihu‘e. He was born Nov. 14, 1934, in Hilo. He was an aircraft mechanic for Aloha Airlines and hotel industry general maintenance laborer at Princess Ka‘iulani Hotel.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Robert Kuhlman and Mary Mitchell Kuhlman.
He is survived by wife Joan Clare Calistro Kuhlman of Lihu‘e, son Gary (Jo-Ellen) Kuhlman of Georgetown, Maryland, daughters Phyllis (Niki) Stanwood of Lihu‘e, Carol (Rick Bellany) Kuhlman of Rutland, Vermont and Terri Flores of Kane‘ohe, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, brother Gary Kuhlman of Honolulu, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be over ashes and will be scheduled on O‘ahu at a later date.
Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
