Raising the minimum wage is hurtful to the youth of this state. Nationally it would disproportionally hurt the youth of color. Entry level jobs are not meant to be living wage jobs. These jobs serve to give the youth much needed experience. These jobs teach responsibility. Force companies to pay higher wages to underqualified applicants will result in companies finding other alternatives. Like kiosks at McDonalds to take your order. Wages/Prices are pushed one way or another by the market. When labor supply is low, wages go up. Government intervention here will have negative impacts on those who the liberal purports to protect.
