Brian Schatz (D-Hawai‘i) Tuesday applauded a new executive order issued by President Joe Biden that will provide more Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, commonly known as food stamps, to the most needy families, including nearly 33,000 people in Hawai‘i
The order also includes a 15% increase in benefits for families of the more than 93,500 Hawai‘i students who qualify for free or reduced-priced school meals and are currently receiving Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) benefits due to COVID-19-related school closures, as well as a directive for food-assistance benefits to be updated to reflect the true cost of a healthy diet.
“More help is on the way for Hawai‘i families struggling to put food on their tables,” said Schatz. “These new actions from the president will boost benefits and provide more healthy meals for those most in need.”
I forgot who I voted for. Is he getting paid for this? Helping the needy. They must have signed a bill saying he can have the food stamps ready for the needy. I’m always interesting into seeing who is who in politics. Why go through all that trouble, and not get any pay? It doesn’t make any sense. Brian Schatz. I don’t know too much about this senator. He looks to be okay. I never really looked into his situation. So he’s doing good and helping out the needy. By any chance this food stamps is awarded to employed people, like lower income. Or just unemployed and the border line street bums. It one good thing that he can put down on his files. And he’ll be rewarded for it too.

Assistance isn’t the answer, it’s independence and sustainability, relying on the government to support you is not what we should be teaching our children. Open up the schools, open up everything, lives and businesses are being ruined as a result of them trying to “protect us”, it’s time to start weighing out the costs
Business as usual … Schatzs applauded Biden with creating more food stamps/ welfare instead of getting off your butts and going to work . Divided you bet it will never be any different with this group.
