HANALEI — The county Department of Water has scheduled a water-service shutdown for customers located on a portion of Kuhio Highway from Anae Road to Lumahai Beach, including Kumu Road in Hanalei, Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather-permitting.
HANALEI — The county Department of Water has scheduled a water-service shutdown for customers located on a portion of Kuhio Highway from Anae Road to Lumahai Beach, including Kumu Road in Hanalei, Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather-permitting.
The shutdown is necessary in order to install a new service lateral in the area.
Customers located within the affected service area should prepare for the water-service shutdown by taking the following steps:
• Store enough water to meet your needs until water service can be restored;
• Notify neighbors, family and friends about the shutdown;
Those with faulty water heaters should ensure that heaters do not empty.
