Road closures set on Southside

KOLOA – The county Department of Public Works and Goodfellow Bros. LLC announced that Maluhia Road is scheduled to close today and Monday, Oct. 19, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for paving work. Work will not occur on Saturday, Oct. 17 or Sunday, Oct. 18.

Paving operations will continue on Maluhia Road from Oct. 20 to Oct. 23 when a single lane will be closed, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Flaggers will be positioned to assist motorists during these closures.

Additionally, from Oct. 20 to Oct. 23, Koloa Road will be under full closure from Po‘ipu Road to Ala Kalanikaumaka (western bypass road) from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Dates and times are subject to change depending on weather and other factors.

Traffic delays may occur during this period. Motorists are advised to follow all traffic-control signs and personnel.

    when is our mayor going to put some temporary pothole mix or fix in the omao rd. i drive the speed, the front end of my car is just about broken, its getting more dangerous please help, us, dont let over size trucks drive on the road, pd should be at the park during going to work hours and after work hours, i just want to get home safe, mahalo mr, mayor…
