HONOLULU — State Department of Health officials Thursday reported three additional coronavirus-related deaths and 108 new infections statewide, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 139 deaths and 12,515 cases.
The O‘ahu fatalities included two men between the ages of 60 and 79, and a woman in the 80-to-89-year-old age group. They all had underlying health conditions and died in hospitals, state officials said Thursday.
There were no new cases on Kaua‘i.
Thursday’s new infection cases included 102 on O‘ahu and six on Hawai‘i Island, officials said. As a result of updated information, three O‘ahu cases were removed from the tally.
Thursday’s total coronavirus cases by county since the start of the outbreak are 11,296 on O‘ahu, 736 in Hawai‘i County, 391 in Maui County, and 59 in Kaua‘i County. There are also 33 Hawai‘i residents diagnosed outside of the state.
In addition to the 15 Hawai‘i Island deaths, the state’s official death total includes 114 on O‘ahu and nine in Maui County, while one fatality was a Kaua‘i resident who died on the mainland.
The U.S. death toll was over 207,000 Thursday.
