Robert Allen Ferreira Sr.

Robert Allen Ferreira Sr. passed away on Aug. 22, 2020, at the age of 76, in Waimea.

He was born on Dec. 8, 1943, on Kaua‘i, and was a senior power plant operator at Makaha Ridge in Koke‘e.

He was preceded in death by parents Manuel and Julia Ferreira and brother Alfred “Freddy” Ferreira.

He is survived by wife Marieann Ferreira, son Robert Allen Ferreira Jr. of Kalaheo, daughter Donna Lei Ferreira of Kalaheo, grandchildren Mark (Brittany Libre) Braun-Ferreira, Meha Ferreira, Dayla Ferreira-Haumea and Jaycia Ferreira-Haumea, great-grandchildren Zennen Libre-Braun-Ferreira, brother Wallace Ferreira of Kalaheo, and by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private service to be held at a later date.

Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Harry ‘Bo’ Jones Jr.

Harry “Bo” Jones Jr., of Costa Mesa, California, passed away on July 18, 2020, at Chapman Global Medical Center in Orange, California. He was 72.

He was born in San Diego on Nov. 12, 1947, and served in the Vietnam War as a U.S. Army paratrooper. He later moved to Kaua‘i, where he worked as a paramedic for five years. In 1977, he moved back to California and began his career as an electrician with the elevator union, from which he retired.

He was preceded in death by parents Harry Sr. and Lucille Jones.

He is survived by sister Penny Jones, daughters Lisa (Rey) Andrade and Tami (Jerry) Yamamoto, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
