LIHU‘E — The county Transportation Agency, under the direction and support of Mayor Derek Kawakami, announced tht free public Wi-Fi is available aboard The Kaua‘i Bus.
“In an effort to modernize our service and bring digital equity to the community, the majority of our fleet has been outfitted with Wi-Fi access points,” said Kawakami. “The remainder of our fleet will be outfitted as vehicles are replaced later this year.”
There will be a Wi-Fi decal on the passenger door of the bus to indicate that there is Wi-Fi available on board. Currently, Wi-Fi is available with the password kauaibus. In coming weeks Wi-Fi will be made available without the requirement of a password.
Bus passengers are to observe COVID-19 safety protocols, which include wearing face coverings and practicing social distancing.
Up-to-date bus schedules and additional information can be found online on the County of Kaua‘i and The Kaua‘i Bus Facebook pages, or by calling 246-8110.
