ANAHOLA — The county Department of Public Works announced that DMK and Associates will do road work in Anahola on weekdays from Monday, June 29, through Friday, July 10, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather-permitting.
ANAHOLA — The county Department of Public Works announced that DMK and Associates will do road work in Anahola on weekdays from Monday, June 29, through Friday, July 10, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather-permitting.
Work will be done on Hokualele Road (makai of Kuhio Highway to the end of the road), Kamalomalo‘o Place and Malama ‘Aina Place.
Work includes asphalt crack cleaning and filling, seal coating and striping.
From June 29 through July 1 there will be no road closures during the asphalt crack cleaning and filling phase of work. There may be short delays in entering and exiting certain roads. No parking will be allowed on the road or road shoulders of affected roads during that week.
From July 2 through July 7 there will be lane closures during the seal-coating phase of work. No parking will be allowed on the affected roads or road shoulders. No vehicle access will be allowed on affected roads or grassy shoulders. No vehicles may enter or exit affected roads until the seal coat is dry.
No walking is allowed on the wet seal coat.
From July 8 through July 10 there will be no road closures during the striping phase of work.
There will be no work done on Friday, July 3, the observance of the Independence Day holiday.
For all phases of work, the county recommends in a press release to exercise caution when driving in the affected areas.
Vehicle parking will not be allowed in the work zone after 7:30 a.m. Any vehicle left on the street or grassy shoulders within the work zones after 7:30 a.m. will be towed at the owner’s expense. Work may be extended pending weather conditions.
