Wow! Throw a holiday (King Kamehameha Day observed, Thursday!), and things take off from the COVID-19 pandemic (is this Back-to-Normal?)…Kudos to Michelle Panoka (Hawai‘i Foodbank, Kaua‘i Branch) and Tina Albao of the Boys &Girls Club on their weekly distribution where B&G Youth of the Year Tavia Rapozo rolled up her sleeve to help take care of all those people in the morning blessings.

More pats on the back to KPD Sgt. Darla Nonaka and Chief Todd Raybuck on working through all those COVID-19 restrictions to prevent the spread for a unique and special 92nd Police Recruit Class graduation where eight new officers joined the ranks of “Kaua‘i’s Finest!”
Chief Todd will be with Pastor John Cabelo and the Police, Pastors &Platters crew, Saturday morning at the Puakea Golf Course (starts at 9 a.m. — don’t be late!), and if you hurry, Chantal Zarbaugh and her Kaua‘i Government Employees Federal Credit Union volunteers will have a food distribution at the Kilauea branch (check out Tom Pickett’s “seedy” fundraiser for the Kilauea School PTSA!) starting at 11:30 a.m.
