HONOLULU — Austin Borja-Haumea, 24, of Kekaha, pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday to one count of prohibited firearm possession.
Borja-Haumea was arrested when Kauai Police Department officers found him asleep in a parked vehicle next to a shotgun, which he was prohibited from having due to an order of protection filed by a family member for domestic violence, according to documents and information presented in court.
Sentencing is April 15.
