LIHUE — Abbie Fowler of the Kauai Rush 10G pushed four goals into the net to help lead the 10 Under girls team to a 9-2 win over the Futsal Kauai 10G team, Sunday during the Kauai Soccer Association fall season games contested at the North Vidinha fields.
Fowler was a demonstration of soccer skill as she was joined by Autumn Alayvilla netting another four goals in the win.
“Abbie also plays for the 12 Under team,” said Kevin Devitt, one of the Kauai Rush 10G coaches. “She picks up a lot of her (soccer) maturity from playing up with the older kids.”
The Kauai Rush teams finished the day of 17 soccer matches with a 3-3 record after its 12 Under girls team beat Team Onipa‘a Ekahi 08G, 9-0, and its 14 Under team got past East Side United 06G, 6-2.
In another 14 Under matchup, the Hawaii Slammers FC Kauai battled Keahi SC 06B to a 2-2 deadlock.
Soccer matches continue, Sunday at the North Vidinha fields starting at 10 a.m. There is no admission fee to watch the young soccer players hone their soccer skills during the KSA fall season.
